Lisa Weinreb

Lisa Weinreb as been a prosecutor for 29 years and has been assigned to the following units as a Deputy DA:Family Protection, Gang Prosecution Unit, Economic Crimes, and is currently the Chief of the Juvenile Branch of the San Diego District Attorney’s Office. As the Chief, she oversees 23 Deputy District Attorneys, assists with creating statewide law, makes tactical decisions with regards to the prosecution of juvenile cases, and mentors the young Deputy DAs assigned to her unit.She has prosecuted homicides, sexual assaults, gang cases and a multitude of felony cases in adult and juvenile court.She is one of the states experts in juvenile law.

She is the co-chair of the California District Attorneys’ Association Juvenile Justice committee (CDAA) and has taught for CDAA on a trial tactics and juvenile justice. She has been an adjunct professor at California Western School of Law for the past 20 years. As a member of a law enforcement family, DDA Weinreb recognizes the need availability of prosecutors in specified areas such as juvenile justice at all hours of the day and night.She willingly serves in this position.
